Description

BBQ pork belly skewers are a crowd-pleaser. They’re easy to make and pack a flavor punch. Start by marinating pork belly chunks in a blend of soy sauce, garlic, and honey.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork belly, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Optional: pineapple chunks, bell peppers, onions for skewering
  • Optional: sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, and vegetable oil. Mix well to create the marinade.
  2. Add pork belly chunks to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for deeper flavor).
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated pork belly onto skewers, alternating with optional vegetables or pineapple chunks if desired.
  5. Grill the skewers 8–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork belly is cooked through and caramelized.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • Marinate longer for more intense flavor.
  • Use soaked wooden skewers to prevent burning.
  • Serve as appetizers or as a main dish with rice or salad.
