Description
BBQ pork belly skewers are a crowd-pleaser. They’re easy to make and pack a flavor punch. Start by marinating pork belly chunks in a blend of soy sauce, garlic, and honey.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pork belly, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Optional: pineapple chunks, bell peppers, onions for skewering
- Optional: sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, and vegetable oil. Mix well to create the marinade.
- Add pork belly chunks to the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for deeper flavor).
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated pork belly onto skewers, alternating with optional vegetables or pineapple chunks if desired.
- Grill the skewers 8–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork belly is cooked through and caramelized.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving, if desired.
Notes
- Marinate longer for more intense flavor.
- Use soaked wooden skewers to prevent burning.
- Serve as appetizers or as a main dish with rice or salad.
