Description

Brazilian Lemonade (Limonada Suíça) is a creamy-meets-tangy summer refresher made by blending whole fresh limes with sweetened condensed milk, sugar, water, and ice—then straining for an ultra-smooth, frothy finish. Ready in under 10 minutes!


Ingredients

  • 4 whole limes, thoroughly washed & quartered
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tbsp granulated sugar (to taste)
  • 4 cups very cold water
  • 2 cups ice, plus more for serving
  • Optional: fresh mint for garnish


Instructions

  1. Prep the limes: Wash well to remove any wax/residue, then quarter.
  2. Blend briefly: Add limes, condensed milk, sugar, cold water, and 2 cups ice to a blender. Blend 15–20 seconds—just enough to extract flavor without over-blending the peels.
  3. Strain: Pour through a fine mesh strainer (or cheesecloth) into a pitcher to remove pulp and peel bits.
  4. Serve immediately: Pour over fresh ice in tall glasses. Garnish with lime slices or mint and enjoy while frothy.

Notes

  • Blend in short bursts to avoid bitterness from the peel.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing/adding sugar or condensed milk.
  • Best served fresh; the peel can turn the drink bitter if stored long.
